Ángel Durández Adeva

Born in Madrid, he holds a BA in Economics, he’s Mercantile Professor, Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and founder member of the Register of Auditors Economists.

He joined Arthur Andersen in 1965 and became partner in 1976. He has been a member of the World Council of Andersen Worldwide and director of its offices in Madrid and Barcelona.

From 1989 until August 2000, Ángel Durández was the partner for Europe, responsible for the specialist group in the Communication and Entertainment industries.

He often takes part in conferences and press articles and he’s a guest professor of the Master Programme in Management of Communication Businesses at University of

Navarra and the Master of Communication at the Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca.

Besides being involved in various activities in the audiovisual sector, he’s a member of the Advisory Council of FRIDE (Foundation for International Relations and Overseas

Development), a member of the Foundation Board Germán Sánchez Ruipérez and Vice-President and founding employer in 1999 of the Foundation Euroamérica and Managing Director until March 2004.

In March 2004 he was appointed President of INFORMACION Y CONTROL DE PUBLICACIONES, SA, organization responsible for the control of the print and electronic media in Spain.

In July 2004 he was appointed Independent Director of Gestevisión Telecinco, SA

He’s currently an independent member of the Board of Directors of Repsol YPF, Joint and Several Director of Arcadia Capital SL and Director of Iroko Films SL
